Bryan Chan was among several Los Angeles Times photojournalists sent to chronicle the war in Iraq. He crossed into Iraq from Jordan the day after Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s statue was toppled in Baghdad by U.S. forces. Chan covered post-invasion Iraq for a month traveling from Fallujah to Basra.
